Gregory S. Heizler
*BV Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell
Greg’s ties to the coastal community date back to his childhood when his family spent summers on Long Beach Island. Like many vacationers, he learned to appreciate all that the Jersey Shore has to offer, like surfing and fishing. But most importantly, he fell in love with the people who live here.
While working summer jobs as a lifeguard, as an ice cream man and as an owner of a bungee jumping site, it became clear that the Jersey Shore would one day be called home. Greg lives in Island Heights, where he was elected three times to the position of Councilperson where he chaired several committees including Finance and Public Safety and currently leads on the Department of Revenue and Finance.
Greg is a graduate of the University of Delaware, where he received a B.A. in Political Science. In 1990, he was accepted into the University of Pittsburgh’s Semester At Sea program, where he spent a semester circling the globe by ship studying the cultures, economies and politics of the nations that he visited. Thereafter, he attended the Widener University School of Law and graduated in 1995.
In 1994, he began his law career as a summer law clerk at Novins, York & Pentony, a large, established firm in Toms River, where he remained as an associate for 12 years. While there, Greg gained extensive trial experience in personal injury cases representing both the injured and the insured. He also developed a practice that focuses on the ever-changing field of Employment Law and Workers’ Compensation Law. During his tenure he also developed a solid municipal court practice.
In 2006, Greg left the big firm to open his own practice here in Toms River. On March 17, 2008, we proudly announced that Kenneth Pentony, Esq., Greg’s friend and former senior partner, joined him to form our current firm, Heizler Pentony, P.C. Attorneys at Law.
